Trading table concern
Wednesday, May 28, 2008Halloweenqueen sent us this warning about an incident on the trading table:
I just want to tell you of something that happened while I was trading.
I was trading with someone; we were trading a YangYin Blossom and 2 pet specific foods for a neon plant and 2 other pet specific foods. I thought the Trade looks even & fair… I hit the trade button… she switched the neon plant for a painting you can buy at the W shop and hit accept… I had my cursor ready so I was very close to accepting… but I paused. I thought that once you switched an item you had to initiate the trade again. Just be careful when you are trading… and pause. Once you hit ready to trade you locked your items, not theirs. I thought that once you hit "Ready to Trade" it locked both sets.
I wanted to give you the heads up. Be careful when trading so you can get what you want, without being scammed.

Oh, I really do not like people who do that. It’s just not right and its very upsetting to lose a very nice item to something like that. Thanks for letting all of us know!

It’s MEAN!!! I was trading my rose superbed and my butterfly dreams superbed for Kinzvision Plasma TV (not the one in the w-shop) and the dragon super bed, right when I hit trade, they switched it for dalmation psf and the stallion psf. I got ripped off. Bad.

When you want to trade and you hit the “trade” button, it locks your items to trade.. this is suppossed to give the other person a chance to say “no”. The other person switched to item on me and said “yes”…. then I am suppossed to say “yes” 1 (one) more time to approve it. I caught it before I clicked the finally “yes” button. Don’t be trigger happy and click “yes” right away… you have like 30 seconds to click it. Just pause/wait a minute before the final click and look the trade over real good… just to make sure that you are fine with it.
Someone tried to get my sister. They gave her a really good looking trade. They were giving her a superbed and a 25% off coupon for the antique lamp post (which is new). She was shocked and just before the finale click they took out the superbed…. she stopped the trade.
Remember… if it looks too good to be true… it just might be.
And… don’t be trigger happy and click “yes” too quickly… look over it before that final click.

oh and the new garden stuff was out last night
Some people were trying to trade big for those items as most people had not check the Wshop since yesterday afternoon.
Today was also my first success in the trading room. I was able to get in over my lunch break this afternoon and I snagged the blue wagon that I’ve been wanting!
Tonight however – I’m not having success at ANYTHING. I keep getting the “please wait…” in the lower left corner and it won’t finish anything. This happened twice at balloon dartz and again at the employment office just now. Grrrr…

i thought this was supposed to be the safest way to trade. You should report it to Ganz. Anyway, did anyone else notice the My Options page on the My pets? I was going to do my I love my webkinz thing for the day and found that I hit a different button. There is something about adds on it.
