Store exclusive releases?

A friend sent me this ad… so does this mean certain animals will be released now only to certain stores? Who remembers the old days of webkinz collecting when pets were hard to find and some Hallmarks had limits on how many you could buy? I remember two years ago when we started playing having to call all over town to see who had what pets in stock.
