Sharing Computers With Kids? Take This Carbonite Offer Code!

If your child is sharing your computer to log onto the WebKinz World, there are a couple of steps you can do to help reduce your anxiety levels. If you have parental control software installed, keep it there, but make sure to give access to the following WebKinz IP addresses:

66.48.69.98
mci10.webkinz.com
mci2.webkinz.com
shared.webkinz.com
kinzpost.webkinz.com
mu1.webkinz.com
66.48.83.161
66.48.83.162
66.48.83.163
66.48.83.164
66.48.83.165

In all likelihood, your kids will be too busy to be tinkering with your data files, but just to be on the safe side, make sure you have a backup of all your important files elsewhere. You may want to take advantage of a carbonite offer code and get yourself an offsite backup of your files. Worst case scenario (and this has happened to us already, although not while playing WebKinz) is that your machine crashes and refuses to reboot properly. If you have a remote access backup of your files, it would be easy to access the files in your backup from any computer with an Internet connection, and restore your entire backup to a new computer. Better safe than sorry. And cheaper than getting another machine for the kids!
