It is Cheeky Monkey Month! Or more precisely, cheeky monkeys are the webkinz pet of the month for July.
Of course means there will will be scads of newly adopted monkeys to name. If you are adding one, here are some ideas to get you thinking about what to name your newest webkinz
Gordo – first monkey in space. (real)
Baker, Ham, Enos and Sam – other monkeys who went to space. (real)
Tetra – First cloned monkey (real)
Bear – from an old TV series called BJ and Bear (ask your folks).
Binks – from George of the Jungle, Outbreak, Ace Ventura (real)
Boots – from Dora the Explorer
Curious George – from Curious George
Guenter – from Futurama
Katie – a real monkey who played Marcel in the TV show Friends and plays the Rally Monkey, the mascot of the Los Angeles angels baseball team in clips.
Kiki – a monkey in the Sonic Adventure video game
Klaus – from old Saturday Night Live Sprockets' sketches (again ask your folks)
Mickey Dolenz, Mike Nesmith, Peter Tork and Davey Jones – the guys in a wildly popular singing group and TV show called The Monkees (again ask your folks)
Iwazaru, Kikazaru or Mikazaru – from the Chinese & Japanese Mythology – "See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil"
Sal Minella – from the Muppets Tonight
Sock – as in Sock Monkey
Washoe – first chimp to learn Sign Language

What great monkey names! I am in Maine on vacation with my fiance’s family this week, so I haven’t been able to get online much. My mom kindly volunteered to babysit my 9 webkinz (in exchange for an Opus Sofa!) while I’m away.

umm ya someone cloned a monkey and a cat and i think like a lamb or something weird like that ANYWAY awesome names i named my monkey Cookie Monster and my sis named hers Elmo!! Cuz we watched this MadTV sketch wit the Sesame Street and now we luv sesame street
