It took me 12 weeks to save up my $1 a week allowance for him. Knut is very smart. He was named after a famous polar bear cub in Germany.
Knut the polar bear in real life was “born at the Zoologischer Garten Berlin on 5 December 2006 and is a captive-born polar bear that is currently the subject of international popularity and controversy. He was rejected by his mother at birth and brought up and bottle-fed by zoo keepers”. (wikipedia.org)

I also have a polar bear named Frosty. Do you have a pilgrim hat from Thanksgiving? If so, you should put it on your polar bear. . .my best friend laughs so hard when I put it on Frosty. . . you know who you are!
I was just reading about you two, Hayley and Michelle, and found out Hayley is adopted? OMG! THAT IS SO COOL! Hayley is lucky to have such an awesome parent!
So cute! My webkinz is a polar bear (Bailey) and one of the reasons why I got a polar bear is because of Knut! My sister (pupcake55124) met you in webkinz world but she couldn’t see you when you came to Evie’s Room and she couldn’t walk when she went to knut’s room. Oh well. Have fun with your webkinz!

My best friend and I have 45 Webkinz between the two of us. We do so many things with them online, but so many more things with them off line, just using the stuffed animals. We made couples for them, assigned them best friends, and put them all in different “cliques.” They all have so many personality traits and so many stories to go along with them. So, if you just play with them online, and don’t even touch the plush toy, just try to play with them and make up stories about them. Trust me, it is so much fun! (And if my best friend leaves a comment here about it, too, you will also get a second opinion about how fun it actually is!)
CheerleaderGurl, Hayley and her best friends love to play with them as stuffed animals too. They are always taking them outside for something. I used to be concerned she was talking stuffed animals outside but I saw how much fun they had playing with them together and making up stories and games.
Yup, Hayley is adopted. My husband and I are very lucky to have a great daughter.
Nope, no pilgrim hat. We weren’t on Webkinz until 2007.
I love playing with my Webkinz just as stuffed animals. I am so glad that Hayley has experienced this fun too!

Happy Fourth Of July!
I have another question: My Cocker Spaniel, Bella, is sick. She has an ice pack on her head, a thermometer in her mouth, and a green snout. I do not want to pay Dr. Quack 25-30 dollars for cough syrup, so can I just give her some baths, play with her, and feed her vitamins to nurse her back to health?
when my monkey got sick i gave him vitamins, health juice (carrots,apple, and watermelon in the blender) and some exercise on the trampoline. it worked for me

Well, I tried giving her some vitamins, and giving her extra exercise, but it didn’t work. I had to cave and go to Dr. Quack’s.

BERLIN – The show is over: The Berlin zoo’s fast-growing polar bear cub, Knut, won’t be appearing anymore with the keeper who raised him.

The zoo said Monday that it has ended 7-month-old Knut’s twice-daily public appearances with keeper Thomas Doerflein.
The playful pair have delighted audiences since Knut — then an irresistibly cute 20-pound cub — made his first public appearance in late March. Now nearing about 110 pounds, the boisterous bear, who will remain on public view, will have his enclosure all to himself.
“Mr. Doerflein’s safety counts first of all, of course,” zoo spokeswoman Regine Damm said. The zoo also has Knut’s independence in mind, she added, as it prepares the bear to “associate with other bears and not with other people.”
Born Dec. 5, Knut has been raised by Doerflein and other zoo staff since his mother rejected him and another cub that died. Knut went on public show March 23.
Doerflein said he remains on hand for Knut, although he will no longer play in public with the growing predator.
“This doesn’t mean that I will never play with Knut again; it just means there are no fixed times anymore,” he was quoted as saying by the daily B.Z. “I am always there for him. Knut is still a child; he needs me.”
Doerflein said, however, that he feels “burnt out” after months of frolicking with Knut, and made clear that he has not always enjoyed being a celebrity in his own right.
“That is the worst thing. People want autographs, to touch me,” he said. “When I am with my girlfriend, they invite me (for a drink); when I say ‘no,’ they get aggressive.”
