Christmas and Hanukkah
holiday seasons have officially past. The holiday items are gone from W Shop and the main Webkinz.com screen is back to the old regular screen.The departure of the holiday packages has brought us in a new theme, Upscale Condo. Let me be the first to say, I like it a lot.
This is a fairly big theme - 19 pieces ranging from kitchen and dining room to bedroom. TV is the highest item at $1,600. The chrome/brushed steel and browns should mean you can do some creative mixing with this theme. I'm sure tons of players of all ages will like this but part of me wonders if this was added in because it would have a large cross over appeal to the adult players.
Alright everyone, call your real estate broker and see if you can get a loft condo on the upper east side of NYC to put in all this fabu furniture.
Other notes:
- There is a new version of Solitaire called Triple Strike Solitaire. It is basically just a different pattern for the cards.
- The plush character dolls have stayed. I'm curious if they are going to stay permanently.
- The plain wrapping paper came back quickly.
- Ganz has stopped ebay sellers from selling just the codes through email in ebay auctions.
- Has anyone seen the Mohawk yet?
- A seller told me that the charms are not being produced more and that the existing supply that is out there is it for this run of them. That has caused high prices for the less common ones like the Unicorn one to sell at over $25 in most cases
- The figurines are already having shortages in many areas and websites.
- The Clubhouse looks new.
- Some people have been complaining about the old exclusives but did the Ice Cream Tree disappear? Is that the first sign new exclusives appear - the retiring of some old ones?
