Well the Doug gem trading new section is still got the glitch going that will give you the gift item even if you don't have the gem he is requesting.
I got this one when I did not have the Torch Treasure that Doug asked me for:
I'm not very far along because we really didn't keep many gems outside of one account but we are on the 3rd level gift there:
The gift levels we know so far are:
1st Rocky Road Ice Cream Cone
2nd Rocky Candy
3rd Sparkling Gem Belt
4th Mining Helmet/Gem Finder Hat
5th Mining Suit/Gem Finder Tshirt
6th Doug's Signed Picture
7th Sparkling Gem Wallpaper
8th Sparkling Gem Poster
