Hungry for webkinz food???

It was close to dinner time and I was hungry. Jeff had taken Hayley and a friend to the pool so I knew we weren’t going to eat anytime soon. I check mail on webkinz and a friend sent us some food.
Just looking at the food on the screen and then in my dock made me more hungry and I really wanted one of the item. Funniest thing – I had never tried the way it was on the site, so I was just guessing that it would taste good.
What got me you ask??? Peanut Butter and Honey Sandwich. I almost took a photo to post as a joke! Has anyone else ever gotten a craving from a webkinz food?? Or gone a step further and eaten it in the real world??

I used to eat peanut-butter-and-honey sandwiches all the time as a kid. Not surprised you might want one. Yum!
It was good! I’ve eaten fresh peanut butter made from honey roasted peanuts which is tasty but I’d never put honey on a PB sandwich.

toomany, see above. But WP is portable, it can be moved to a server elsewhere as well. I use it as a tool for many companies and groups for internal communications on their own server.

This is mattnsarge’s mom-he is only 4. I don’t let him open anything like the mail without me and he hasn’t gotten anything. We went through his dock today again and it wasn’t here. He was so excited that he won something he has been logging on to go to his room to check for mail several times a day, but it hasn’t been there.

What is your best advice for how to learn computers…classes?, books? My goal is to learn more and one day find my own niche to be able to work out of the house (what stay-at-home mom doesn’t say that). You seem really savvy and I don’t think you’ll roll your eyes and tell me to sell on ebay, which I keep getting from others….what is up with that?? LOL

I see that he has mail now. He is taking a bath so I will have him check his mail as soon as he gets out. I guess since he can’t read, he won’t know that I just told everyone that he is in the bath! Anyway, thank you, he will be thrilled. Extra things really weren’t necessary. He just likes to get mail and likes to tease his older sister that he won something. I have only allowed him to put Hailey, his sister, his cousin, and his sister’s best friend on his Friend List since he can’t read and could to agree to anything. Gina, I know your dilemma. I hear it from people all the time. I’ve worked from home basically since 1997 and I love it, the best of both worlds.
I think you first need to make a plan – what it is you want to learn to do and how do you learn best?
My husband – he wants to read the manual and do the tutorials. Me – I just want to do something and learn as I do things.
It is possible, like I said I’m going on 10 years now and I’m fairly well paid. My undergrad degree is in political science but I got it in 1992 and the few computer courses I took were data analysis related. So I just learned it all on my own. (Grad school was more theory than execution, yawn).
There are lots of options out there, you just need to consider what you think you want and can do.
I’m happy to talk about all of this if I can offer any suggestions.
Oh and ebay, it can be good but you have to love that. My husband loves to do it. He’s a CPA and very structured – he loves to sort through stuff, categorize it and post it on ebay. I can’t stand it, don’t have the focus to do that.

Please feel free to email me. There are several paths – I develop websites but I have friends that do desktop publishing freelance (like newsletters), I know someone doing data entry for a company. I have friends making decent money writing for blogs, etc. Some blog sites need people who are a particular religion, family type, etc to write for them. So there are options.
Think about it and then just try to create something. Get one of the For Dummies or the blah blah in 7 days as a reference guide. I just decided I wanted a web page in 95-96 and put something SOOO ugly up on aol. And i went from there!
