Tootie-Frutie yumalicious Lemon Pie, Hayley goes to a year round school and is off school right now.
That means she goes to school nine weeks and then gets a three week break. 9 weeks on, 3 off, 9 weeks on, 3 off… all through the year. There are four different ‘track’ schedules, so at any time three of the tracks are in school and one is out. This is the last week of her three weeks off, called “track out”.
They go to school the same amount of days kids in traditional calendar schools go to, just in different chunks. There are good and bad about each but we like this style.

I am sorry Michelle, but I guess this site is not for us. I’m sorry you feel that way. Much of it depends on time and what you have to trade. Personally I don’t talk to people very much, just at odd hours when I’m around. Most people will tell you I’m in and out.
I’ve found people here to be very friendly and we add more people into the group here all the time.
You are welcome to stay here and we’d love to have you. However there are other sites and if you don’t like it here, I hope you’ll find somewhere to your liking. No site can be all things to all people, perhaps a more robust community with a quicker response time will work for you. The forums at webkinzinsider are very active in that respect.

Jaslen, this is actually called the “large pane window”, red and white curtains, sunny day outside.
Michelle I am with you. Love it. For cat in the hat shirt I just scanned a picture then layed it under the shirt and traced with a pencil the outlines. Fill in the back colors first, let that dry then did the outlines. Worked like a charm. I was thinking of using sheer fabric for the wings then sealing the edges with the fabric paint for a mixed media kind of effect.
that’s very cool!! Most of what I do, I just do graphically and sent it to zazzle but it of course has no texture or really depth to it.

I have 15 coupons michelle.
Jaslen, actually we made it from pages of our favorite books and laying them so they overlaid each other slightly. We turned what would have been our formal living room (as opposed to our big family living room) into a library of sorts. So we did the entire room in pages of our favorite books with wallpaper paste and then covered it with a shellac we found from someone online who used it to seal decoupage. Took four months but i love it.

Sure, I stole it from Southern Living. They did it with Italian newspaper pages in a study.
We quickly found out newspaper pages = quick … small book pages = slow
But it is lovely and I sent it onto Southern Living which thrilled them that someone adapted their idea.
Worst page – having to read every page to make sure we weren’t posting obscenities on our walls!

Well, Hayley is out of school right now and had our next door neighbor here off and on. I was watching out for them since the neighbor is only six and then getting them lunch. Then I had to do some work for a client, get Hayley to work on cleaning up and clearing out her bookshelves, then math flashcards, fruit and cheese snack for her, then off to soccer (20 min drive there, 90 mins practice, 20 mins home), feed her, snuggle with her, mediate argument with her and dad about her room mess, snuggle again… and then I came here!

man, you’re a busy woman! I have spent way too much time in the pc today. Of course the laundry didn’t get done and didn’t finish planting the flowers (will do tomorrow). I have to stay off the computer so I can get some work done. I have two little ones and they keep me busy but today I let them run loose.

Lot sizes are pretty rough in Wake Co. We build on a cul de sac so we’d have a decent backyard but decent of course is a relative term in Cary.
