Now that you’ve had a chance to go to the Webkinz Curio Shop, you may have noticed a few things about Arte and his shop. For one thing, he has that big green tip jar sitting next to him. What for? Well, the answer is, Arte is a bit slow to warm up to new people. Arte will treat you a lot better if you tip him when you first arrive (I know, that it a bit different than what we usually do, where a tip comes after someone does something for you…. in fact, this is more like a bribe than a tip!). Just click on the tip can when you first show up to his shop, and you will be able to select how much you’d like to tip. If you do this every day for a few days, and if you also buy something regularly at his shop, you will notice that he starts to say different things to you.
In fact, there are 7 different levels in the way Arte will treat you. If you want to be able to buy rare and unusual items from Arte, then you need to get to Level 7. When Arte “likes” you, then he will tell you when the rare items will be on sale!
Opening – First time you arrive, Arte explains how it works.
Step 2 – “Welcome to the Curio Shop. Hope you find what you’re looking for.”
Step 3 – “Welcome back. See if you can find a bargain today.” If you ask when sales/rare items will be available he’ll give you a general time frame, like “later this evening I should have something in” or he’ll say “you are out of luck”.
Step 4 – “Hey, welcome back. If you see something you like, let me know.”
Step 5 – “Good to see you again. Have fun shopping.”
Step 6 – “Ahh, one of my favorite customers. Let’s see what I can do for you.”
Step 7 – “There you are! Always great to see you, my shop is your shop.” AND Arte will be holding a sign that says when the rare item will be on sale.
Just so you know, this does take some time and patience. By going daily, tipping and buying I moved from level one to level 3 in about 4 days…..

Now that you’ve had a chance to go to the Webkinz Curio Shop, you may have noticed a few things about Arte and his shop. For one thing, he has that big green tip jar sitting next to him. What for? Well, the answer is, Arte is a bit slow to warm up to new people. Arte will treat you a lot better if you tip him when you first arrive (I know, that it a bit different than what we usually do, where a tip comes after someone does something for you…. in fact, this is more like a bribe than a tip!). Just click on the tip can when you first show up to his shop, and you will be able to select how much you’d like to tip. If you do this every day for a few days, and if you also buy something regularly at his shop, you will notice that he starts to say different things to you.
In fact, there are 7 different levels in the way Arte will treat you. If you want to be able to buy rare and unusual items from Arte, then you need to get to Level 7. When Arte “likes” you, then he will tell you when the rare items will be on sale!
Opening – First time you arrive, Arte explains how it works.
Step 2 – “Welcome to the Curio Shop. Hope you find what you’re looking for.”
Step 3 – “Welcome back. See if you can find a bargain today.” If you ask when sales/rare items will be available he’ll give you a general time frame, like “later this evening I should have something in” or he’ll say “you are out of luck”.
Step 4 – “Hey, welcome back. If you see something you like, let me know.”
Step 5 – “Good to see you again. Have fun shopping.”
Step 6 – “Ahh, one of my favorite customers. Let’s see what I can do for you.”
Step 7 – “There you are! Always great to see you, my shop is your shop.” AND Arte will be holding a sign that says when the rare item will be on sale.
Just so you know, this does take some time and patience. By going daily, tipping and buying I moved from level one to level 3 in about 4 days…..
