Easter Outfits

Hayley got a Duck for Valentine's Day and she just got around to entering it recently. The waddle cracks us up to no end. I know we've seen wobblers before like the penguin but our duck (aka Cutiepie) is so charming. I think part of what makes it so hysterical to me is the clothing aspect. This poor duck cannot wear anything that looks good on her it appears. With a body right above its feet, webkinz made it darned hard for this little one to have any cute outfits.
First I thought I'd go something simple – yellow tank and jeans:
Oh my, that didn't work very well as the jeans looked like a bowl. Ok ok, something more forgiving perhaps for our fashion challenged fowl friend:
Egads, she has no legs anyway but this makes her look like a paper grocery sack. I won't even post how bad the photos of her with hats on were (she needs a straw Easter hat, hello webkinz?)
I went the complete other way – something more revealing and I think we've found a winner with the bathing suit. After all, she is a creature of the water anyway.
Here's hoping finding an Easter outfit is easier for you!

I like the yellow and blue outfit better than the bathing suit. The bee outfit looks cute on the goggle maybe that would look nice on the duck. We have not tried to dress ours yet. Maybe not, a waddling bee would look interesting.lol

I love the new look. It is so much different and a little confusing to me right now, but that’s expected. I mean, the new Webkinz layout was really confusing, too, to me, but I love it now and its just like second nature. You guys rock and thanks for keeping up with your awesome blog!
Melblu23, we aren’t changing the security code part. I never said we were. It is to keep spammers away – not unlike the same one in webkinz world when you are adopting a pet.
It keeps automated bots from posting drivel, ads and junk on the blog – something that had to be manually managed before.
If you click on remember me, it will remember your name, email and URL so all you need to do is type five quick numbers. That’s not too hard!
I bet the bow is cute on the duck!

Michelle, Have you tried the blue bath robe with yellow ducky on side (from kinzstyle) on either the virtual duck or plushy? We just did. Hailey loves the virtual dressed in it. The actual plushy will have to loose a few pounds before she can wear the robe lol (it won’t tie, needs a bigger size)

queeeniebees417, of course I’ll take comments about our work and site personally. If you don’t like it, you don’t have to be here. I say with all sincerity, we certainly hope you’ll stay as we work out all the details.
117moonbeam117, dear I fail to see how I insulted you by saying we outgrew WordPress. Before you vented you could have asked me what that meant and I would have been happy to clarify.
WP did not have the tools to make managing that site efficient anymore. The traffic, the spammers and all sorts of other internal issues made WordPress a bad fit for us long term. Plus we were paying to use certain options on WordPress and were unable to run any ads at all, even to cover what we were spending on keeping it up. That isn’t practical.
I develop sites for a living and I know when things need a new platform. I could have moved to a new WordPress install on another server but we tried that and it was a HUGE mess. So the practical and cost effective thing was to move the site to a place where we’ll have server and technical support, be able to have some ads and let us get back to doing the things we want to do – posting about the game, not managing the site.
And moonbeam for what it is worth, everything I learned about developing sites I learned by myself or with partners, working hard to learn it. No class ever taught me one iota of what I do. I learned to do things online b/c I had things I wanted done so I figured them out. I got my first computer at 11 (which was 1981) and I’ve worked my behind off to use it as a tool to create a career. By learning something to use something new, you are learning MORE and MORE skills – and learning by doing, which is the best way in my book.
To folks in general, I’ve listened to people complain in email and on here. That’s totally fine if don’t like it, I hope you’ll hang with us and help us make it a better place. We don’t want anyone to leave, we hoped long term this move meant good things overall for all of you.
Suggestions are ALWAYS welcome and if you have an idea, I’d love to hear it! However out and out negative stuff doesn’t serve anyone any purpose.

at this point, it looks like double line breaks may be the best option.
I think this is a simple fix – just tell them to convert line breaks to a br code.

It’s like riding a bicycle. You have your training wheels on. Once you get use to it, you remove it, and ride a 2 wheeler. You may make some mistakes at first, but if you try your very best, you can do it.

Michelle, I have read some of the comments here and I gotta tell you it is hard to make everyone happy (I’m sure you know that already). I think the site looks wonderful and it is a lot faster. We are humans and most of the time we don’t adapt well to changes (even if it is for the better). I’m sure some of the people who commented that they don’t like the new site are the same people who probably had a hard time starting on the old site, yet they stayed and kept on trying until they mastered it.
You’re atomicolicious site was one of the first ones I found with webkinz info. Loved it!
