Dachshund

Many of you old timers know we've been waiting on the Webkinz Dachshund to come out for a long time. We have three dogs – two beagles and a mini-dachshund but never far from our hearts is our dachshund Sam that we lost a few years ago.
Sam was a stray we found and no owner ever claimed him. We couldn't take him to the pound because we found out he had a chronic health problem so we were afraid he'd never get adopted. We fell in love with him anyway so he moved in and was part of the family.
He lived a good life for the few more years we had him. I loved having a smaller dog and he was just hysterical to have around. But his health problems caught up to him and eventually he passed away.
We were thrilled to see the webkinz Dachshund this month and especially excited that he was a black and tan one, just like our Sam. He looks just like our Sammy boy did!
