–Jennifer, i never cook on fridays – or the weekend unless it just sandwiches or something quick. I work more on the weekends (i just got off duty managing a site in fact) or we are gone with sports, so Jeff gets take out since he can’t cook except french toast, mac N cheese, grilling things or putting frozen pizzas in the pizza oven).
–The best steak house is Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse. There is nothing like it.

that’s very cool michelle. i cook almost every night. I have 3 children so it gets way too expensive to eat out. usually we grab mcdonalds or something for the kids lunch on the weekends but that’s about it.
Oh jennifer, I have a friend who I told to check WKW out for her 8 year old son and they are hooked now. Mom, dad and son have them. Krissi just bought 20 packs and then an unopened case of cards, so if she gets any CG stuff she doesn’t need, I’ll try to get it for you!

michelle i give you and jeff alot of credit, i don’t know if i could adopt. i have two step daughter’s in texas. i raised them for a few years when they were little. that was much harder than raising my own. I’m not sure if raising step kids is quite the same as adopting but either way kids are a challenge!

My daughter’s best friend is adopted. Her parents got her at 21 monthes old from a russian orphanage. They have difficulties that the are working thru too. the little girl is now 9. she has attachment disorder and ADHD but things are getting better each day for them with alot of good counseling

We were about to adopt from russia or the ukraine, it was down to those two and ready to write the big check but we saw a seminar on foster-adoption and just decided to check it out at least. And things just all fell into place.
I know several kids with attachment disorder adopted internationally. That is just really difficult, my heart goes out to your friend. We lucked out in that sense with Hayley.

Attachment issues are when a child is young and they either don’t have a parent to rely on or they are removed from their care givers. They don’t get to have the bonding cycle completed – which is basically like a child crying and mom coming to take care of them (baby crying b/c they are hungry- mom feeds baby, etc). It forms a bond where a child knows their parent can take care of their needs.
Without that, it means some children can have trouble forming future attachments.
when you are in an orphange you don’t develope the normal bonding skills that you should have. my children got held every time the cried. they got fed when ever they were hunger. they got hugged and kissed and loved all the time. the little girl i know got held or fed when it was her time on the schedule. and the schedule didn’t factor in holding and loving time.

Acttully -I only got 1 spary and one Lip Gloss (both apple) The store had all of them expet the body spritz Mango. (they were about 5 – 6 $’s each -OUCH) But still overall that store has a large varity of webkinz, Lil’kinz, Charms, Mouse Pads, and Make up stuff. Still no bookmarks though.
