Wednesday, January 16, 2008Watching down to the second that the page views rolled over to one million, we ended up having TWO people post at the same time. It was just too hard to pick one of them so the easiest thing to do is just give both the grand prize package, so that’s what we’ll do.

Oh sorry your aunt died. I just lost my grandmother a couple of months ago. When it is an older person it certainly makes it less upsetting, still we miss them.

my friends who i have known forever are trying to talk me out of teachin an take up business because i have a background in it an was really good at it but i enjoy being with teh kids an find it som rewarding knowing that i had a psitive impact on their lives, but my friends feel like i would be making a bad economical decision. i also want to take up pastry an own my own bakery 1 day do you guys think i am making a bad decision?

yeah thats where i was heading either in public schools or headstart i also have a management background so that would get me up that ladder in the headstart program
Preschool doesn’t pay very well and the turn over is high but some jobs are better than others. The place my daughter goes has had some of the teachers for years it isn’t a daycare center preschool.
the kids are what makes it so much worth it though
I would stay away from programs that are all day and just glorified day care. But head start or the school system could be good. Running your own business is hard and you have a three year old. Working in a school would let you have more time with your girls.
I like watching the kids it is fun doing art and school stuff with them. I try and do lots of field trips so we don’t get cabin fever. The parents can be really stressful though. Many people think they are the center of the universe and don’t have any consideration for anyone else.
Being in an office all day is not for everyone if your husband has a good job you should just do what you think will make you and your family happiest.
see thats how i feel. when i was managing i missed my oldest daughters first day of school an i was a workaholic at least working in the school system i will have holidays and vacations with my kids. not to mention do something i love yes i was good at management but i didnt enjoy it at all and missed so much that i wish i hadnt
When K gets to first grade I am quiting the daycare don’t know what I will do then but my family will be my main focus. I have thought about substitute teaching. The pay is really bad but I don’t need to earn that much to keep us solvent.
i think i am gonna follow my heart hey i always have my management skills to fall back on if need be
I liked my job in the dairy but I have doctors orders not to work in a food plant ever again. So a job in my field around here is impossible. I miss lab work. But I would miss spending time with my kids more.
That’s right and when the girls are older maybe that bakery.
yeah i already missed to mcuh that i can never get back i dont want to miss anything else i mean they grow up so fast it feels like only yesterday i was coming home from the hospital with the both of them
yeah i always make gift baskets for the holidays and this past christmas my uncle was asking me when i plan on opening one

I have gotten to stay home with both of them but other than the first six months with S there have been other kids around. My biggest problem is I don’t really want to play with them in the evening after being with kids all day and my health causes me to sleep too much on the weekends. I spend to much time on school work with S and K watches too much TV as a result. But I am working on it trying to make time for just K.
